A warm and friendly welcome awaits you in our family home, a charming period farmhouse set in a wooded valley in 23 acres of rolling Devon countryside located on the southern fringes of Exmoor.
West Cross Side Farm is ideally situated for exploring the Devon countryside.
You have complete freedom to explore the farmland bordered by the Crooked Oak river. A recent survey by the Devon Wildlife Trust has identified it as a very rich habitat. Deer, foxes, otters, buzzards, kingfishers, barn owls, badgers, and pheasants are all present.
West Cross Side Farm is in an ideal location if you are looking for Exmoor holiday cottages in North Devon. The detached holiday cottages are new, well furnished, conversions.
The local inn, The Masons Arms Inn, is now owned and run by 3 star Michelin Chef, Mark Dodson of the Waterside Inn, Bray and also Cliveden. The restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star.
There is quick access to the North Devon link road (A361) being only 25 mins from Junction 27 of the M5 with an easy drive to the North Devon beaches.
The area offers tremendous opportunities for walking, touring, riding, golf, fishing, bird watching, and wildlife observation.
We are just off the Two Moors Way footpath which passes through Knowstone.
It is an excellent centre for short breaks for touring/walking Exmoor, mid Devon and the Devon coast with easy access to Exeter, Rosemoor Gardens, Dartmoor and other attractions.
